Set in a tropical paradise along a mangrove-lined bayou and only two miles from the sugar-white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, this campsite includes a fishing dock, three hot tubs, a crystal-clear outdoor pool and large, oak-shaded emplacements.

Play any of eight shuffleboard courts, try out bocce ball or join a game of mini golf. Walk, rollerblade or cycle on the popular 47-mile Pinellas Trail right next to the campsite or rent a canoe and paddle the peaceful bayou, alive with herons, egrets and other wildlife.

Salt-air breezes cool this tropical paradise along a mangrove-lined bayou and only a few miles from the sugar-white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, the cities of St.Petersburg and Tampa and the adrenaline fuelled Busch Gardens theme park. Alternatively, the Pinella’s Trail is adjacent to the campsite with it’s miles and miles of easy walking or cycling through some of the best nature that Florida has to offer.

Pinellas Trail

This 34 mile trail runs alongside the campsite at St Petersburg and it is a unique greenway corridor linking some of the county’s most picturesque parks, scenic coastal areas and residential neighborhoods. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy open spaces, flora and fourna; including ancient live oaks, trailing Spanish moss, quiet waterways and tidal streams with all varieties of land and water birds.

Sunken Gardens

The Sunken Gardens are owned by the City of St. Petersburg and have been renovated into an excellent attraction. This is a botanical paradise in the midst of a bustling city, and this 100 year old tropical garden is home to some of the oldest botanical specimens.

The Pier, St Petersburg

Shop, dine (casual to elegant), visit the aquarium, or play miniature golf at the latest of the St. Petersburg piers extending a quarter of a mile into the bay.
