The Norman town of Dives-sur-Mer is within easy reach of the residence and is home to a lovely harbour as well as shops, restaurants and cafés. This is also the place from where William the Conqueror set sail for England to claim the throne in 1066. Golf, horse riding and water sports are readily available activities.
