Pleasures of a more leisurely nature can be found at the Omaha Beach Golf Club - one of France’s top courses. This residence is just 5 km from Omaha beach and just 1 kilometre from the centre of Port-en-Bessin, a charming seaside development with a busy harbour and good cafes serving delicious local cheeses and pastries. The holiday park is a delight - with three swimming pools on site and perfectly designed to fit effortlessly into the rolling Normandy landscape.

The resort: Explore the world of a small fishing port: the auction, signal station, trawlers, infrastructures, activities and Shipwreck Museum. 5 guided tours are on offer: ‘in the heart of the Port en Bessin’, ‘the fish auction’, ‘from auctioneer to computer’, ‘visiting the foreshore’ (depending on the tides) and ‘at the shipyard’. A trail with 8 markers takes you on a self-guided walking tour of the harbour and its history, infrastructures and activities. The surrounding area: Bayeux (8km), medieval town: the tapestry (a masterpiece unique in the world), Notre Dame cathedral, Baron Gérard Museum (porcelain, lace and paintings) and General de Gaulle Memorial.
