4.5/5

Based on a customer satisfaction survey

One of France's top parcs - opposite Carnac’s famous standing stones and close to sandy beaches.

This parc, with a beautiful setting in the grounds of an old Breton Manor just a few miles from the coast, puts numerous splendid beaches and other attractions within easy reach. There is a superb waterpark with a covered pool, slides and lazy river overlooked by the restaurant. In high season there is an organised programme of events and the amphitheatre is the venue for evening entertainment, which can be heard in some areas of the parc. The beach is a twenty minute bike ride away from the parc on quiet roads.

    Customer suggestions

Take a look at some of the local recommendations for days out and activities our customers have shared with us following their holiday at La Grande Metairie.

"Branféré wildlife park was an absolutely fantastic day out with lots of well-tended animals set in beautiful countryside. Very clean and well run and the café and restaurant facilities provide tasty meals. Mont St Michel is an incredible place to visit with amazing architecture and fantastic views."
    J. North, South Glamorgan

"The 'little train' that runs directly from the campsite around the surrounding area was interesting and good value. We also enjoyed the Museum of Prehistory in Carnac."
    M. Perry, South Yorkshire

"Concarneau is a beautiful walled town with great places to eat and explore. Quiberon has a fantastic beach and really good restaurants to choose from."
    P. Hilton, Lancashire

"Auray is a lovely river port town, well worth a visit. Carnac market is one of the best I've seen. There are good selection of beaches and the area in general is good for family cycling."
    C. Rowland, South Yorkshire

"Les Sables Blancs is a long sandy beach with pretty shells and some rocks on the east side of the Quiberon peninsula - lovely. Lots of surf found on the atlantic side, St Barbe and Etel near Ederven, and beautiful sandy beaches away from shops and houses with good waves for body boarding, surfing and kayaking."
    J. Frappart, Kent

"We recommend Vannes, the market at Carnac, Carnac Plage, Trinité-sur-Mer and Quiberon, all worth a visit. The tourist train is a good way to get an overview of the area and look at the standing stones."
    S. Unsted, Gwent

"We like the whole local area and the stones were very interesting. Carnac and Trinité-sur-Mer are definite must-visits. Our favourite places are Morlaix and Carantec. The coast road from Morlaix to Carantec is outstandingly beautiful and the area is renowned for helping allied airmen escape back to England during WW2. Go see for yourself!"
    S. Abbott, Lancashire
